“The View” Releases Statement Amidst Reports Meghan McCain Is Leaving The Show
ABC has released a statement, amidst reports that Meghan McCain is leaving The View. An ABC spokesperson said in a statement,
“The co-hosts and The View have had an incredible season and we expect them all back for an epic year ahead.”
Hilary Estey McLoughlin, executive producer of The View, states that she believes McCain does want to be on the show, despite her occasional indications to the contrary.
“She realizes it’s a very good platform for her and we love having her there”.
Earlier today, reports surfaced that the 34-year-old political commentator and daughter of the late Sen. John McCain was “feeling like a caged animal,” and would not return for the upcoming season.
Meghan joined the show in 2017.
She has made headlines in the past for disagreements with follow co-hosts Joy Behar and Sunny Hostin.
Meghan has yet to respond to reports.
