Cardi B Says We Let Bernie Sanders Down In Last Presidential Race: He’s Been Fighting For Equal Rights For Such A Long Time!

Cardi B is feeling the Bern. She recently showed support for Bernie Sanders on social media. She wrote,

“I been reading about Bernie Sanders and I’m really sad how we let him down in 2016. This man been fighting for equal rights, HUMAN rights for such a long time. Seeing this country become a better place been really his passion for a long time not a new front for a campaign.”

Sanders made it to the Democratic primary in the 2016 race but lost to Hillary Clinton. Clinton ultimately lost to Republican candidate President Donald Trump in the end.

Now, it looks like Cardi wants Sanders to go all the way this time.

She also responded to a fan who pointed out Cardi’s disdain for paying taxes, and Sanders’ plan to possibly raise taxes. Cardi tweeted,

“I don’t mind paying taxes if I see on what am I paying my taxes on. It’s sad that we pay so much taxes yet we don’t have free college education neither free healthcare.”

It’s safe to say Sanders appreciates the endorsement.

He wrote,

“Thank you @iamcardib! Our fight for justice is far from over and we are not giving up.”

Of course this isn’t the first time Cardi has spoken out about all things politics.

She supported Sanders during the Presidential race and told fans to stop saying Trump could win. She said,

“Vote for Daddy Bernie b****”

As for her comments on taxes, she previously said,

“When you donate to a kid from a foreign country, they give you updates of what they’re doing with your donation. I want to know what you’re doing with my f***ing tax money.”

She also hasn’t been shy about her dislike for Trump.
