Love & Hip Hop’s Mendeecees Harris Is Getting Out Of Prison Early
The light at the end of Mendeecees Harris’ prison tunnel is getting closer! Now, the Love & Hip Hop New York star will be a free man in 2020, according to Bossip.
Harris was originally sentenced to a minimum of eight years in 2015 after he pleaded guilty to drug trafficking. He confessed to being a part of a drug ring that transported illegal substances from New York City to Rochester, NY. He said he was involved from 2006-2008.
He fought the sentence but it was later affirmed in an appeals court.
He served 15 months prior to getting the green light for bail, and that time went toward his ultimate sentence. Ultimately, he will serve about five years total.
He’s already finished a substance abuse prevention class as well as courses for budgeting and parenting while in prison. He also took classes for nutrition and public speaking.
He’s father to four children, Asim, Omere, Skylar and Mendeecees, Jr.
