Fox Renews “The Wendy Williams Show” For Two More Seasons
Wendy Williams will be asking, “How you doin’?” for another two years! The daytime diva kicked off her 11th season of the “Wendy Williams Show” today (9/16/19) after a tumultuous 10th season on air. Viewers watched the media veteran endure a tough battle with Graves’ Disease, a health hiatus, a stint in a sober living house, and a public divorce from her longtime manager and husband of 25 years – Kevin Hunter.

Several longtime staff members of the show – including producer Talia Parkinson-Jones and hairstylist Robyn Michele – walked away from the hit series this year, sparking rumors of an impending cancellation. But Wendy has come out of the fire with a triumphant start to the 11th season, announcing the show has already been renewed for another two seasons! An emotional Wendy ended her season premiere with a tearful announcement of the renewal.

Debmar-Mercury co-presidents, Ira Bernstein and Mort Marcus, issued this statement:
“Wendy’s enduring demo strength is matched only by its unwavering support among our valued station partners. Fox, which has been there from the start, remains a big believer in the power of Wendy to deliver the goods and keep its important morning news block viewers from going anywhere.”
Wendy Williams thanked Fox for the renewal:
“I’m so excited to launch our 11th year by letting the world know I will continue to do what I love to do so much — and for a very long time. I want to tell Fox and all of our stations today how much their support and confidence means to me. They should know we will never stop working very hard to bring our dedicated Wendy Watchers and audience ‘co-hosts’ the freshest national daytime television!”
Congratulations, Wendy!
