Rihanna’s Fenty Business Hit With Lawsuit Over Gigi Hadid Photo
A photographer has filed a lawsuit against Rihanna’s Fenty brand after it posted a snapshot of supermodel Gigi Hadid.
In the photo, Hadid wore a corset denim top from Fenty’s line that partnered with LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton earlier this year, and the company shared it in its Instagram story. It didn’t take long for Eva’s Photography, Inc. to spot the photo and sue, claiming that Fenty didn’t have permission to share the picture. Eva’s Photography said in court documents on Oct. 1 that it
“has at all times been the sole owner of all right, title and interest in and to the photograph.”
The company added that Fenty never asked for permission to use the photo that was used
“as [a] tool to promote its brand.”
Considering this, Eva’s Photography is suing for $150,000, claiming that Fenty committed copyright infringement. It said that Fenty’s use of the photograph was
“willful, intentional, and purposeful [and] in disregard of and indifference to [Eva’s] rights”
Hadid is no stranger to lawsuits involving photos of her. She and her sister Bella Hadid have been sued a handful of times for posting pictures of themselves that photographers claim they own.

One lawsuit against Gigi is still pending after she posted a photo of her now ex-boyfriend Zayn Malik in her Instagram story. That company wants $150,000 from Gigi.
Rihanna, Fenty nor Gigi have spoken out about the lawsuit publicly.
Do you think Fenty should get sued for the photo? Tell us in the comments.
