Candace Owens wasn’t here for Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s documentary.
The project, called Harry & Meghan: An African Journey, aired in the U.K. and U.S. earlier this month, and detailed the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s recent trip to the motherland.
And Owens wasn’t a fan of it.
She shared her thoughts Monday (Oct. 21) stating:
“Using African children as a backdrop to complain about your over-privileged life is offensive. Invoking your own mother’s tragic death to demand the press stop calling out your hypocritical wife is downright disgusting. Meghan Markle is a witch. Harry is under her spell.”
It looks like Owens was responding to a few comments made during the documentary. In one clip, Markle opened up about the difficulties of being a new mom while getting adjusted to life as a royal.
ITV's @tombradby spoke to Meghan as he gained exclusive access to the royal couple as they toured Africa for 10 days with their son Archie.

Also in the documentary, Prince Harry called out the media for slamming his wife. He referenced his mother, late Princess Diana, who tragically died in a car crash while trying to escape paparazzi in 1997.
Prince Harry said,
“Look, part of this job and part of any job, like everybody, means putting on a brave face and turning a cheek to a lot of the stuff. But again, for me and for my wife, of course, there’s a lot of stuff that hurts — especially when the majority of it is untrue. But all we need to do is focus on being real, focus on being the people we are and standing up for what we believe in. I will not be bullied into carrying a game that killed my mum.”
Markle added,
“I really tried to adopt this British sensibility of a ‘stiff upper lip.’ I really tried, but I think that what that does internally is probably really damaging.”
“I never thought that this would be easy, but I thought it would be fair. And that’s the part that’s really hard to reconcile.”
