Prince Harry On If He And Meghan Markle Are Moving To Africa ‘That Would Be An Amazing Place To Base Ourselves’

Will Prince Harry and Meghan Markle make Africa their new home?

The prince suggested that he and his wife could be relocating to the motherland, despite the fact that they’re the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

He told a British reporter that in Africa he feels

“more like myself.”

Interestingly enough, in a documentary of his and Markle’s recent trip to Africa called Harry and Meghan: An African Journey, Prince Harry said he’s not sure if he could see him the Duchess living on the continent.

“I don’t know where we could live in Africa at the moment. We just came from Cape Town, that would be an amazing place to be able to base ourselves, of course, it would. But with all the problems that are going on there, I just don’t see how we’d be able to really make as much difference as we’d want to without the issues and the judgment of how we would be with those surroundings.”

Still, the two will be no strangers to Africa.

“The rest of our lives, especially for our life’s work, will be predominately focused on Africa — on conservation. There are 19 more countries across this continent. There’s a lot of things to be done. There’s a lot of problems here. But there’s also a huge potential.”

He also spoke on his special connection to Africa.

“Ever since I came to this continent as a young boy, trying to cope with something I can never possibly describe, Africa has held me in an embrace that I will never forget. I feel incredibly fortunate for that.”

Also in the documentary, Markle opened up about her struggles with being in the spotlight after marrying Prince Harry in May 2018.
