Kanye West’s $55 Brunchella Plate Criticized, Compared To Fyre Festival + Catering Company Speaks Out Taking Full Responsibility
Is Kanye West‘s Sunday Service just a glorified Fyre Festival? This past Friday, (11/1/19) Yeezy and his choir took their fan-favorite gospel service to Baton Rouge, Louisiana for Southern University’s homecoming festivities. But, in conjunction with the free Sunday Service, an event called Brunchella was offered for $55 – providing what was supposed to have been a breakfast smorgasbord and mimosas for the event.

However, attendees took to social media revealing that the beautiful $55 breakfast was actually a measly assortment of barely-cooked sausage, pancakes, and bacon. Fans quickly compared it to the unorganized plates from rapper Ja Rule‘s now-infamous music festival – Fyre Fest.

Fyre Fest’s food
But according to reports, Kanye West had nothing to do with the food, including the hefty fee. In fact, Mr. West nor the Sunday Service choir was paid for the appearance. He even paid of the food and travel expenses for the choir.

Brunchella’s catering company, Lauryn’s Fine Catering, took full responsibility for the fiasco. Their statement read:
“The catering company acknowledges it did not provide adequate food for ONE attendee and a social media post went viral…Kanye West and the Sunday Service collective should be disassociated with such claims surrounding the food at the event.”
Yikes! Kanye West has yet to comment on Brunchella.
