Michelle Williams Was Electrocuted During “Masked Singer” Rehearsals
Fans weren’t ready for the jelly of former Destiny’s Child singer, Michelle Williams, being announced as a competitor on Fox’s hit show, “The Masked Singer,” earlier this month!
But, the famous voice behind the Butterfly costume wasn’t ready for what happened during the show’s rehearsals! Destiny Child’s third powerhouse revealed that a short-circuit in the smoke machine electrocuted her while prepping her unmasking.
Michelle Williams said:
“During dress rehearsal, I’m standing on the platform, and they’re trying to have CO2 smoke come out. All I know is I looked down at my shoe, and the thing could talk! The thing was flapping!”
Aside from a near-injury, she revealed that she once struggled with her voice not being deemed a favorite in her mega-famous girl group:
“I’ve done a lot of gospel, so I’m kind of insecure because mainstream [fans] don’t know my voice…Sometimes social media… it’s bad when you read the comments. I like engaging with people on social media. I don’t want to not talk to the people that are being gracious all because there are some mean ones out there. But sometimes before you get to the nice ones you have to get through a couple mean ones. Apparently I don’t have the most commercially appealing voice or whatever. People have their favorites, but vocally I was not a favorite in the group, and that stuck with me.”
We’re glad you’re okay, Michelle!
