Dennis McKinley Points To Porsha Williams’s Postpartum For The Reason He Cheated: It Was A Poor & Selfish Decision

As Porsha Williams and her fiancé Dennis McKinley relive a major rollercoaster in their romance, Dennis McKinley made an admission that has become a topic of conversation Monday (Dec. 16).

While it’s been previously revealed that Dennis McKinley cheated on “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” star while she was pregnant with their first child, he has now explained what made him step out on his future wife. He detailed that he was unfaithful shortly after they welcomed Pilar and explained why.

He said during their therapy session on “RHOA” that aired Sunday night (Dec. 15),

“We had a rough pregnancy, all the way from start to finish. Sex during pregnancy, it’s nothing a man wants to do … and after PJ got here, postpartum was very real. We cried together like every night. That’s not a good enough why, but that’s the why.”

He added,

“It was a poor decision and it was a selfish decision. I made a mistake, I cheated… I’ve done my best to let Porsha know that I love her and I’m remorseful and apologetic. The priority for me is the baby.”

Still, Porsha Williams wasn’t here for McKinley calling his infidelity a “mistake.” She said,

“A mistake, to me, is taking the wrong exit. You don’t make a mistake and set up with someone and cheat. That’s not where he need to be in order for me to heal and move forward. He needs to be in a place in my eyes where he’s taking full accountability for his actions, period. No matter how it looks and feels. It insults me when he says mistake.”

She also said that she thought she and McKinley were in this together.

“All the rough stuff that he said that I went through, he was literally by my side. And that’s one of the things that was really difficult. I’m terribly disappointed and I’m hurt.”

She spoke on their breakup and continued,

“It’s just been really hard. All these choices that I’ve had to make, I’ve been having to be strong because we have a daughter. She needs to know that at the end of the day, if Dad is here, he wants to be here. He’s going to be faithful, he’s going to be great to her mom, he’s going to be great to her.”

“I haven’t wanted to tell him that because I feel like he didn’t deserve to hear that.

She told McKinley,

“I felt like I was giving you something, but I have to let that go about giving you something. I have to let that go about, ‘Oh, he’s going to know I forgave him so now he won’t be sorry anymore. ‘F– that.’”

McKinley then said he wanted to be with Williams.

Fortunately for the two, they’ve been able to work things out and are now re-engaged despite their rough patch, and plan on tying the knot in 2020.
