R.Kelly’s Brothers Claim An Elderly Man Molested Him When He Was A Child
The first installment of the second season of Lifetime’s “Surviving R. Kelly“ premiered Thursday night (Jan. 2), dropping more bombs about the disgraced singer’s alleged inappropriate interactions with minors.
But another factor was brought into play by R. Kelly’s older and younger brothers – Bruce and Carey Kelly. They revealed that an elderly neighbor named Mr. Henry allegedly molested the singer as a child.
Carey Kelly said this about their neighbor:
“Everybody loved him and looked up to him. We thought he was a cool old man, a nice man.”
Both brothers recounted that Mr. Henry would allegedly buy the Kelly brothers food and clothing before allegedly molesting R. Kelly. They said that their mother, who has since died, called the police on Mr. Henry, and that the neighborhood collectively physically attacked him while police watched before he was carted off to jail. Mr. Henry reportedly bailed himself out and bribed the Kelly brothers’ mother with $5,000, leading her to allegedly drop the charges and keep quiet.

This isn’t the first mentioning of R. Kelly being sexually abused as a child. He admitted to it in a 2016 interview with GQ, while his brother, Carey, says he was molested by their older sister.
“Surviving R. Kelly Part II: The Reckoning” will continue Friday (Jan. 3) and conclude Saturday (Jan. 4).
