Cardi B Celebrates Her Album Being Billboard’s Longest Charting Debut By Female Rapper: It Would Be Dope To Have TWO Albums Charting At The Same Time!
Grammy winner Cardi B (real name Belcalis Almánzar), 27, and her 2018 debut album, ‘Invasion of Privacy’ are continuing to make history on the charts. Nearly two years after it’s release, Cardi’s debut is now the longest-charting debut album by a female rapper on the Billboard 200, according to reports. The rapper took to her Instagram on Tuesday (Jan. 14th), thanking fans for their years of support while giving insight on her upcoming sophomore album. Cardi says,
“Thank you everybody ! Hopefully by the time I put my second album out IOP still charting .It will be dope to have two albums charting at the same time ! Ugh THE PRESSURE ! Thank you for the love.”

Invasion of Privacy spent 92 weeks on the Billboard 200, or every week since its release on April 6, 2018. Lauryn Hill’s ‘The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill,’ previously held the record, maxing out at 91 weeks on the albums chart.
Back in July, just one year after dropping ‘Invasion of Privacy,’ was included in the top ten of the top selling albums of the year which included the likes Lady Gaga, Taylor Swift, Kendrick Lamar, Drake and Adele.

In addition to being a chart topper going certified 3x platnum, Cardi’s debut won the Grammy for Best Rap Album and earning a nomination for Album of the Year.

Cardi B, Tiger Woods
As reported in October, the “Press” rapper is gearing up for her second studio album this year and she’s ready to to prove all her haters wrong like Tiger Woods did in April by winning The Masters. While on Instagram live, she said,
“Everything that I’m working on right now is straight to my album. Straight to my album. And I think I’m gonna name my album Tiger Woods because remember when everybody was talking s*** on Tiger Woods like ‘oh blah blah this, blah blah that’… and then he came and won that green jacket? That’s what I’m gonna name my album.”
Congratulations Cardi!
