Demi Lovato Performing National Anthem At Super Bowl
Demi Lovato is taking her talents to Miami. The 27-year-old singer is performing the National Anthem at the upcoming Super Blow. The news was announced today (Jan. 16th) on social media.
This will be her first public performance since a drug overdose in July 2018.
Lovato had suffered from depression, an eating disorder, self-harm, and being bullied before she went into rehab at the age of 18. In 2018, she was rushed to the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles after emergency services were called to her home due to an opioid overdose. She was reported to be stable and recovering later in the day. Lovato was reported to have overdosed on oxycodone laced with fentanyl and was revived with naloxone. She was hospitalized for two weeks and subsequently entered an in-patient rehab facility.
The Super Bowl is scheduled to be played on February 2, 2020, at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida.

Jennifer Lopez and Shakira will be the featured acts in the halftime show.
