Rap billionaire, Jay-z (real name Shawn Carter), 50, welcomed dozens of notable artists and industry leaders for his annual Roc Nation Brunch over the weekend (Jan. 26th). Of course, as foundering member, Jay-z had to step up his fashion game while in attendance. For the pre-Grammy celebratory events, Jay-z was styled by none other than top celeb stylist June Ambrose in custom, Frefe.

In a video, fellow music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs capture a hilarious moment between the industry titans as they arrive for the festivities. Diddy ask,

“That’s mauve, king?”

Jay responds,

 “It’s mauve-lous.”

As Jay and his wife, singer Beyoncé began to leave the event, a video was captured of another fashion moment as the beloved couple began to sit themselves in their car. Jay was asked about the color he choose to wear for his suit. A man tells Jay,

“I like that pink, man.”

The rap mogul made sure to correct him on his fashionable details. He responds before shutting the butterfly doors,

“It’s mauve, bro.”
