Kevin Hart Gives Motivational Toast At Roc Nation Brunch: How Do You Want Your Book To End?
Comedian Kevin Hart was surrounded by an all-Star line up of talent artists and tastemakers for the annual Roc Nation brunch in Los Angeles over the weekend (Jan. 26th). Amongst the fashionable group was Roc Nation founder Jay-z, music moguls Diddy, and DJ Khaled, plus rapper Meek Mill and Usher. To bring to group of talented forces together, Kevin Hart posed a toast where he used writing a book as a metaphor for life. He says:
“Very simplistic, okay? In life, you only get one, you write a book. The question of the day is: ‘How do you want your book to end?’ You’re around a bunch of men who are doing amazing things in they life. Basically, you are writing chapters. Chapters get good, some get better, some get worse. It’s your job to complete that book to the best of your ability.”

Before raising a glass, he ended with a question,
“Are you focused on the ending of your book and, if so, how great do you want to make it?'”
Afterwards, Jay-z chimed in just as the group brings in their glasses of champagne with a friendly jab about Hart’s height,
”Don’t spill any on his f*cking head.”

Lauren London also attended the annual brunch for the first time since the murder of long-term boyfriend, the late rapper Nipsey Hussle. Lauren was accompanied by Nipsey’s sister Samantha Smith.
The 2020 Roc Nation Brunch, which is among a number of celebratory events before celebs gather for the 62nd Grammy Awards, was held at what appears to be an undisclosed location in Beverly Hills.
