The Game Reveals Kobe Bryant Tribute Face Tattoo [VIDEO]

The Game is dedicating his newest tattoo to the late Los Angeles Lakers star, Kobe Bryant. On Wednesday (Feb. 11th), the rapper took to Instagram to share his tribute while rocking Kobe Bryant’s legendary original purple and gold jersey number, no. 8.

The rapper’s latest addition to his tattoo collection features the Lakers legend’s number 8 with an infinity symbol.

He is the latest celeb to ink their inspired by Kobe tribute. Recently, NFL star Odell Beckham, Jr. tatted an iconic image of Kobe Bryant as well.

In addition to Game and Odell, rapper 2 Chainz revealed that his tattoo of a no. 2 tattooed on one leg and 4 inked on the other. Together, his tribute creates Kobe’s no. 24 jersey.

Lakers stars LeBron James and Anthony Davis also got Kobe Bryant-inspired tattoos.

As previously reported, Kobe Bryant and his daughter Gianna Bryant have been laid to rest after dying in a fatal helicopter crash on Jan. 26.

The NBA legend and his 13-year-old daughter were said to have been buried with a private funeral in Los Angeles.

Since the unexpected deaths of all aboard, the Los Angeles and the basketball communities have been in mourning.

A public memorial will take place on February 24th at the Los Angeles Staples Center.

Los Angeles mayor, Eric Garcetti confirmed that a memorial was being planned in honor of Kobe, as well as the eight other victims of the crash. He tells the LA Times,

“I think one message that I would say is this is not just about a man who was a basketball player, this is about a father, this is about a leader, this is about a filmmaker, this is about an artist, this is about somebody who was so much more than just how he was on the court.”

He adds,

“It’s a reminder how much unity we have, though. We are one city that believes in each other, believes in something bigger than ourselves and we will absolutely do everything to make sure that this is done so that everybody can come to it as well

The cause of the crash is still unknown, as the helicopter was not equipped with a black box.
