Pop Smoke’s Brother Releases Statement, Denies Involvement In Rapper’s Murder: I Don’t Gotta Explain Nothing
The brother of murdered rapper, Pop Smoke has broken his silence following the unfortunate death of the 20-year-old. On Wednesday (Feb. 19th), just hours after Pop Smoke was pronounced dead after an alleged home invasion, Mike Dee took to Instagram denying any involvement in his brother’s killing. He begins,
“Cant nothing express the pain im feeling ….I just lost my f*cking brother, my heart my dawgz you guys have no type of sense or sympathy! Yall dont kno whats going on yall come on here playing investigator and bashing me on the internet, I would never in my life set my brother up.”
Mike also reflected on his friendship with Pop,
”We ate together, broke bread together this really my mother child I dont gotta explain nothing to nobody that dont kno me but for the ones who know me know when you saw me you saw pop.”
“We live in such a f*cked up society yall gotta wake up just kno I got you forever brother the truth will come to light until then sleep in peace.”
As previously reported, Pop Smoke was tragically killed Wednesday morning (Feb. 19th) in Hollywood Hills. According to reports, the “Welcome to the Party” hitmaker was at his rented home around 4:30 a.m. when four men wearing hoodies and masks allegedly broke into the home and fired multiple shots, striking and killing Pop.
Prior to his murder, Pop Smoke revealed the location of the home as he showed off gift bags he had received, one containing the home’s address.
Pop Smoke was killed inside a home he was renting from Real Housewives of Beverly Hill star, Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave, according to reports.
The BRAVO star released a statement on social media writing:
“Early this am we were informed by a 3rd party leasing and management company overseeing a rental home we own in Los Angeles that a shooting had taken place at the property.
Foremost, we would like to extend our prayers and condolences to the family and loved ones affected by this tragic loss of life. We aren’t aware of any of the details beyond what we’ve been told or seen reported on the news and at this time we would like to refrain from commenting further as we wish for the focus to remain on the law enforcement officers who are diligently doing their jobs.”
Suspects who were involved with the tragic murder of Pop Smoke are reportedly still on the run.
