Love & Hip Hop’s Kimbella Starts Petition For Juelz Santana’s Early Release From Prison Amidst Coronavirus

The wife of rapper Juelz Santana has started a petition to have Juelz released from prison early due to the corona virus pandemic. Right now, prisons throughout the country are on a two week lockdown in hopes of slowing down the spread of the corona virus.  Kimberly James, better known as Kimbella, created the petition on Saturday, April 4th with the title #FreeJuelzSantana.

She wrote, “#FreeJuelzSantana AKA Laron James needs to be freed during this pandemic to be with his family. He is currently on lockdown for 2 weeks because of the Covid 19 virus outbreak. He has served 13 months at FCI Petersburg and should be allowed to serve the rest of his sentence on home confinement. BOP & Honorable Judge Chesler can make this happen for Laron. He is a good husband, father, son, brother, friend and has a positive media influence as a legendary rap artist. We need you to sign this petition to get Laron James aka Juelz Santana home. “

Kimbella has set a goal of 2,500 signatures for the petition. So far, the petition has received 2,032 signatures.

Back in December 2018, the 38-year-old rapper was sentenced to 27 months in prison for carrying a loaded gun in his carry-on bag at Newark Liberty International Airport. Juelz Santana is due to be released summer of 2020, but with the coronavirus pandemic getting worse, she is hoping he will be released early. Rapper Tekashi69 was just released early from prison on Thursday April 2nd, due to risk of catching the corona virus. He will complete his final four months of his two year sentence in home confinement.
