Bow Wow vs. Romeo – Fans Push For Rappers To Headline Next Battle

It’s the battle of the 2000s, former child rappers turned entrepreneurs Bow Wow vs. Romeo. The idea of the two going head-to-head has set social media on fires. On Monday, (April 20th), legendary artists Teddy Riley and Babyface both held an epic quarantine IG live battle generating more than 500,000 viewers in the friendly battle of classic hits. Their hits included songs from Michael Jackson, Toni Braxton, SWV, The Whispers, and more. Get the list here.

On Tuesday (April 21st), fans took on the debate on which duo would make an entertaining, stay at home live concert. Twitter user, Pretty Nay, created the ongoing debate between Romeo and Bow Wow’s careers for a competition one-on-one battle.

Romeo, the son of iconic ‘No Limit Records’ founder Master P, 2001’s self-titled debut album was a national success with the help of his two singles, “My Baby” and “The Girlies,” selling over 500,000 copies and being certified gold.

For Bow Wow, his success was aided by the direction from Jermaine Dupri, who help take his five albums certified gold or platinum, including his debut, ‘Beware of the Dog,’ which sold over 3 million copies.

Not to mention he has a joint album alongside singer Omarion, ‘Face Off,’ which was also a gold performing project. This career has spawned countless hits, leaving lots of fans convinced Romeo would drown under the weight of Bow Wow’s catalog.
