Robert Townsend Hacked: My Old Number Is Asking People For Money!
Actor and filmmaker Robert Townsend is the latest celebrity to be a victim of a hack. Fortunately, his situation didn’t include embarrassing photos or information being made public. Instead, he explained on Instagram that someone hacked into his contacts, and has been using his old cell phone number to ask for money.
He wrote Tuesday (April 28th),
“I was just informed that unfortunately my contacts have been hacked and my old number is reaching out and asking people for money.”

He continued and said authorities have stepped in to resolve the matter, but also reassured his close ones that he’s not the one behind the request.
“The police are now involved. To any friends or family being messaged, that is not me and we are on top of it. Blessings”
Meanwhile, Robert Townsend has been silently working.
He asked fans last year if they think he should spring for a reboot of the hit 1997 film, BAPS, which starred Halle Berry, Martin Landau, and Natalie Desselle.
Halle Berry also chimed in.

Robert Townsend has also lended his talents to major projects like The Fiveheart Beats, a film that Bravo’s ‘The Real Housewives of Atlanta” star Cynthia Bailey previously auditioned for, he revealed.
