Drake Hospitalized w/ Foot Injury, Thanks Healthcare Workers Fighting COVID-19 Pandemic
Rapper Drake let his fans know that he recently was hospitalized amid the coronavirus pandemic. Thankfully, it wasn’t because of COVID-19, but instead, he suffered a foot injury. In a video the “Toosie Slide” rapper says,
“All my gratitude, all my support out to the frontline workers, first responders, and healthcare workers. I actually ended up in the hospital the other day due to a foot injury and just to see the morale, the smiles, the high spirits on everyone’s face that I got to encounter in that situation. Despite everything going on it’s just incredible to see people who have to leave their families everyday and go to work amid this crisis. As dangerous as this is just really the glue holding us all together so thank you for that.”

It’s not clear how he hurt his foot, but he’s certainly been getting his workout on in quarantine.

On top of thanking frontline workers, Drake recently announced on social media that he has accepted the nomination by Tom Brady to join the “All In Challenge,” offering a chance at a pair of seats on his Virgil Abloh-designed private plane “Air Drake.”

The rap superstar is also busy working on a new album. Drake recently spoke on his upcoming 6th project with Diddy.
“I’m working on the album. I’ve been working on it a while now. And like I said, another silver lining is when God does get you to sit down- I remember the last time I had to sit down was when I tore my ACL, and I made a great album out of that. And, obviously, God has us all inside the house right now sitting down right. So the amount of focus I’ve been able to put into this album is probably way different than it would have been if I would’ve had to go do the residency in Vegas…so I’m saying all that to say this is the most excited about an album I’ve been in a long time…This is probably the most music I’v ever been sitting on. I’m hype!”
