LeBron James Unveils Title & Logo For Upcoming ‘Space Jam’ Sequel
LeBron James is giving basketball fans something to look forward to while the NBA season is currently halted due to the coronavirus pandemic. Many fans already know that the Space Jam sequel is premiering in theaters on July 16, 2021. Now, LeBron James is teasing the new logo on Instagram. In a recent Instagram post, the basketball superstar posted a photo of himself with a hat on. The new name of the movie will be Space Jam: A New Legacy.
The caption also reads “2021” along with emojis for a rabbit and a carrot, teasing the appearance of Bugs Bunny.
Last year it was reported that the Space Jam sequel was getting a new director. For reasons unknown, “Girls Trip/Night School” director, Malcolm D. Lee replaced Terence Nance. The film, produced and written by Ryan Coogler is set to star LeBron, Damian Lillard, Klay Thompson, and his Los Angeles Lakers teammate, Anthony Davis.
The first Space Jam was released back in 1996 and starred NBA icon Michael Jordan.
