Tory Lanez Launches Dream City Fund To Benefit Covid-19 Relief Efforts
Tory Lanez started his Internet show “Quarantine Radio” via his Instagram account to offer some entertainment while the world is stuck at home, and scrolling the internet.
Tory Lanez has been through many ups and downs with the Instagram show, like getting blocked from Instagram because of the content. But it could have all worth been it because he is using the success of the show to help families, struggling to meet their needs during the coronavirus pandemic.
Tory Lanez announced on Monday (May 4) that he is launching the Tory Lanez Dream City Fund to benefit COVID-19 relief efforts. The fund is a collaboration between The Dream City Project, which he founded with his father in 2012 to help inspire and mentor youth, and the Dream Center, a Los Angeles-based charity.
Money raised will provide meals and diapers for underserved families in Los Angeles and other communities nationwide. Tory kicked off the efforts by pledging to cover the cost of the first 50,000 diapers, Amazon Music promised to match the costs.

Tory spoke to CNN from Los Angeles last week, about the importance of using his platform to give back to the community. He said:
“It is very important that any artist give back because at some point you were also regular. At some point, you were a normal person like everyone else. I always tell artists that people feel exactly how you felt when you were in that place “.

Tory Lanez joins fellow rapper Meek Mill who also is helping families in need due to the Coronavirus pandemic:
“My guy hit me about the All In Challenge and I quickly accepted. Checking in. This is for people who were affected by the coronavirus or less fortunate. I’m in a position where I can help out. So you know me, they said ‘all in’ I came right out the door with my biggest car, my favorite car, my Rolls-Royce Phantom I’m throwing it into the All In Challenge.”
