Nick Cannon Graduated From Howard University & Spoke At The Virtual Ceremony

Nick Cannon is officially a college graduate! In addition to successfully earning his degree, the 39-year-old holds a number of gigs. He hosts a morning radio show, a host on  “The Masker Singer”, remains a fixture “Wild N Out” (a show that he created and stars on) and just signed on to the third season of  “Caught on Camera with Nick Cannon.”

Back in 2016 Nick Cannon made the announcement that he enrolled in the HBCU:

“You KNOW!!!! #HU2020 My first day as a freshman!!! Howard University Class of 202o.”

This month, he took to Twitter to share his excitement for the major accomplishment of getting his degree in exactly 4 years:

“I graduated from Howard University @howarduniversity1867 today! Received a degree in Criminology/Administration of Justice and minor in Africana Studies! Had the opportunity to speak at the virtual ceremony, Master and PHD! #HU2020.”

He also spoke during the  Howard University virtual graduation ceremony, and shares his goal of obtaining a master’s degree and Ph.D. next.

“I am always seeking new challenges and continual growth and decided to obtain my first college degree from an institution that has a proven legacy of producing great minds. I have friends, mentors, and colleagues who attended Howard University. I look forward to this new journey in my life and am excited about the possibilities ahead.”

He shared a popular quote from Nelson Mandela about how powerful education, stating that as his inspiration to enroll in College, back in 2016:

“Nelson Mandela once said, “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world’ and with that said I have officially enrolled at Howard University.”
