NY Giants’ Deandre Baker & Seattle Seahawks’ Quinton Dunbar Accused Of Armed Robbery At A Cookout, Arrest Warrants Issued
New York Giants’ Deandre Baker and Seattle Seahawks’ Quinton Dunbar have reportedly been issued an arrest warrant regarding an incident that occurred on Wednesday (May 13th), in Miramar County, Florida. According to multiple reports, Deandre Baker, a recent first-round NFL draft pick by the New York Giants, along with Seattle Seahawks cornerback, Quinton Dunbar are being charged with four counts of armed robbery with a firearm and four counts of aggravated assault with a firearm. The Miramar Police Department tweeted the news Friday (May 15th).


On Wednesday (May 13th), witnesses allegedly spotted both NFL players losing upwards of $70,000 on a high stakes poker game at a cookout. Police state an argument broke out and Deandre Baker allegedly took action and flashed a semi-automatic firearm.

Things took a turn when the two NFL players allegedly began to rob party guests by taking watches and other valuables under Baker’s alleged direction. Miramar, Florida police officers reportedly say the men made out with more than $7,000 in cash, $18,000 in Rolex watches, a $25,000 Hublot, and a pricey Audemars Piguet timepiece. Witnesses also state the alleged robbery seemed to be planned robbery because there were 3 getaway cars strategically positioned outside.

On Friday (May 15th), the Giants issued a statement regarding Baker’s alleged role in the robbery,
“We are aware of the situation. We have been in contact with Deandre. We have no further comment at this time.”
A spokesperson for the Miramar Police Dept. states that the two NFL players have still yet to turn themselves in,
“There has been communication with attorneys representing them.”
Baker was the 30th overall selection in the first round of the 2019 NFL Draft by the New York Giants after spending three seasons with the University of Georgia Bulldogs. During his college career at Georgia, Baker won the Jim Thorpe Award, given to the nation’s best defensive back, in his final season with the Dawgs.
