Tinashe Recalls How Her Parents Knew She Lost Her Virginity, Says She Doesn’t Date Men With Kids + Explains The Type Of Woman She’s Attracted To

Singer and performer Tinashe is getting real about her love life.

She was recently a guest on the “Lip Service Podcast” with Angela Yee, Jasmine Brand, Lorel, and Gigi Maguire, where the ladies touched a bunch of different topics revolving around sex, and dating preferences.

Tinashe got very candid during the interview, and when asked, did she tell her parents when she lost her virginity, she replied,

“I didn’t tell them but they 100% knew. I got a phone call in the middle of it, like ‘where are you?'”

She goes on to say that she snuck out the house for her first sexual encounter, and her dad ended up waking up because he had a feeling she was up to something. He called her while she as losing her virginity and told her to come home.

She adds, that she didn’t get a chance to finish having sex on her first time, and never tried it with the unmentioned guy again.

“I was like so traumatized, I didn’t have sex for like a year.”

Tinashe also revealed that she doesn’t date guys who have kids.

“Never say never, but I already don’t date guys with kids.”

“I’m definitely cool with a lot of guys with kids, and I’ve considered it. I’ll be like ‘Should I date this guys with kids?’ And I’ll be like no that’s my dealbreaker.  I stand by that. “

Still, she leaves the door open for possibilities.

“Who knows, in time maybe, I would date a guy with kids, but not at this point!'”

She also reveals that she dates both women and men, and while she has a type with men, she doesn’t have a type when it comes to women,

“I’ve ‘dated’ a more masculine girl but I’ve never dated a super masculine girl, I’ve never dated a super feminine girl either so. “

“I like to be in relationships with people that can play both sides. I want to take charge definitely sometimes.”
