Solange Knowles’s son Julez Smith grew up in front of our eyes and is now paying homage to his uncle Jay-Z’s old stomping grounds, Marcy Proects.

The 15-year-old shared new photos to his Instagram account Wednesday (Aug. 5th) with the simple caption,

“Marcy Me”

It’s also the title of a song featured on Jay-Z’s 4:44 album.

See Julez Smith’s photos below.

Julez Smith’s famous family is known for using their platforms to fight for change and reform. Most recently, his mother Solange and his aunt, Beyonce, signed their mother, Tina Lawson’s letter, urging senators to pass the HEROES Act to fight voter suppression back in June.

Beyonce posted the open letter written to Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and Minority Leader Charles Schumer, and captioned it:

“I am proud to stand with my mother, @mstinalawson and the Mothers of The Movement to send this open letter to senators calling for the passing of the Heroes Act. This bill would help provide funding to ensure that our vote is protected this election cycle. Read the letter and add your voice with ours. Together we can be the change we want to see in the world. Sign the petition today by clicking the link in my bio. #ANDSTILLIVOTE”

Solange Knowles has also been vocal about calling out officials in Kentucky as the officers involved in Breonna Taylor’s death have yet to be arrested.
