Azealia Banks Says “I Would Rather Die, I’m Ready To Go” In Series Of Alarming Messages + Her Friend Does A Welfare Check
Azealia Banks recently posted a slew of cryptic messages to her Instagram story.
Over the weekend, (Aug. 8), the 29-year-old rapper wrote messages, which some believed alluded to her possibly taking her life. She wrote,
Yea, I think I’m done here. This pandemic, extreme lack of social interaction, no intimacy, combined with constant public ridicule is making life harder than it’s worth.
She continued:
I think I will end my tenure here on earth soon.
In the next slide, Azealia Banks semi explains the prior post, while also adding doesn’t want sympathy nor empathy:
I’m not begging for attention or asking for sympathy/empathy……
I’m just ready to go. Peacefully of course.
Azealia goes on to state she will document her final moments:
I will document my last times and release a film for you all to finally understand me, from my perspective.
The “Anna Wintour” rapper admits her “soul is tired”, and echoed her previous sentiment that she is “ready to go”. Azealia continued her posts, stating she would “try her best” to complete projects she promised fans before she reached this moment with
“whatever strength is left.”
She closed out her statements, asking:
Please don’t bombard me with messages. I’m not in pain.
I’m at peace.
She also posted audio, stating:
I just had a friend come do a welfare check on me, I’m fine I promise you I’m fine. Like I’m not scared, but my decision is made.
She continues:
I’m just really gonna try to push through these next couple months.
Azealia continues and says her next project will come out as just a mixtape with a couple tracks on it, and provides fans with updates on other projects like “Rapunzel” and “Fantasy 2”.
She also makes comments, stating she “has no more defense left” and that she doesn’t deserve to be
“down here being ridiculed”.
Azealia also makes the bold statement:
I’d rather die bro… then like let some b****… some bad people make fun of me
This whole ordeal comes on the heels of Azealia publicly shaving her head on Instagram just eight days ago on Aug.1 in what she said was an effort to feel “fresh and free”. She documented her feelings before, during, and after she shaved her head herself, saying:
But yeah b**** I feel free… I feel like years of karma and years of energy just came off. Like Whew that was cleansing b****.
Pray for Azealia Banks during this time.
