‘Real Housewives Of New York’ Looking At Bringing On 1st Black Cast Member, Motivational Speaker Bershan Shaw
Is The Real Housewives of New York taking notes from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills?
Now that Garcelle Beauvais has wrapped her season as the first Black cast member of “RHOBH”, reports have spread that “RHONY” is following suit, and could be bringing on its first Black cast member as well.

According to reports, the show is looking at Bershan Shaw, to join the cast. She has already filmed a few scenes with some of the ladies, but an insider has added,
“nothing is official yet.”

She’s a motivational speaker who has beat cancer twice and has reportedly rubbed elbows with celebrities like Kris Jenner, Robin Roberts, and Hillary Clinton.
It’s not clear if she’ll be a full-time star or a friend of the series. If she does join the show, she’ll be the first black woman to be featured.
The news comes a day after Nene Leakes announced that she wouldn’t be returning to The Real Housewives of Atlanta for its 13th season. The”RHOA” veteran was a full-time star on the show for 10 of its first 12 seasons. She also appeared in season eight but wasn’t a peach holder that season. She said:
“Thank you to all of you guys that have been showing me a lot of love and support as of late. I feel you, I hear you. I have been on an extremely, extremely long, exhausting, tiring, emotional negotiation. There has been a lot of emotion flying on both sides. It has been hard, and I have made the very hard and difficult decision to not be a part of Real Housewives of Atlanta season 13.”

She continued:
“It wasn’t an easy decision for me. It was hard. I started on The Real Housewives of Atlanta in 2008. We took off like a rocket. I mean, we took off. You could have never told me that I would start on this little show and it still be going strong 13, 14 years later. And it is. I’m just so happy that I can say that I was a part of a genre that opened up doors for Black ensemble reality shows to step up and be a part of what we all now love so much, reality TV.”
If Garcelle Beauvais has her way, Nene Leakes will join “RHOBH” with her.
