Sunny Hostin Has Heated Exchange W/ Republican Congressional Candidate Kim Klacik: The Black Community Didn’t Vote For You!

Sunny Hostin had a moment with Congressional hopeful Kim Klacik that quickly went viral.

Kim Klacik, who’s running to fill the late Elijah Cummings’ Congressional seat, was a guest on “The View” Friday (Sept. 18th) and said that Donald Trump has shown “the opposite of racism” and has that he’s

“been doing a great job, especially for the Black community.”

She then went head-to-head with Joy Behar, after the daytime talk show co-host brought up recent allegations that Donald Trump purposely downplayed the impact of COVID-19 earlier this year. Kim Klacik responded and referenced Joy Behar’s blackface controversy (she previously wore darker makeup to appear to a black woman at a Halloween party). Kim Klacik and Joy Behar battled over who had support from the black community, causing Sunny Hostin to tell Klacik:

“The black community did not vote for you. What planet are you living on? Wow!”

Viewers quickly took to Twitter to react to Sunny Hostin’s comments, causing #TheView to trend on the platform. One pointed out that Sunny Hostin mentioned that Kim Klacik has never lived in Baltimore, even though she hopes to represent the area in Congress.

Kim Klacik later shared her thoughts on her experience herself and tweeted after her appearance:
