Dr. Dre’s Estranged Wife Nicole Young Accused Of Embezzling Money & Draining Business Bank Account

Things seem to be taking an ugly turn in the divorce of rapper turned mogul Dr. Dre (born Andre Young) and his wife Nicole Young.

More alleged details and claims of evidence are surfacing as proceedings continue in their highly publicized divorce, including a check that was allegedly written by Nicole Young to herself for more than $350,000. The money was reportedly from a Record One business account set up by the pair in 2015.

According to Ed McPherson, an attorney and representative for Record One recording studio, Nicole Young is accused of

“blatant and unjustifiable criminal embezzlement of corporate funds.”

The check that was dated August 27th, 2020 has been issued as evidence, claiming that Youn is “draining” the company’s primary business account.

This is another claim in the ongoing reports concerning estranged couple, who have been married for 24 years and share two children together, Truice Young, 23 and Truly Young, 19.

Young reportedly alleged that during their 24-year marriage she suffered “years of domination, control, abuse and mistreatment” at the hands of Dr. Dre. However, sources close to the rapper said her claims are

“the act of a desperate woman who finally realized that the iron-clad prenup she signed doesn’t win her the lottery.”

Also adding:

“In their 26 years together, there has never been any hint or claim of threatened or actual physical violence and the insinuation is an insult to actual victims of domestic abuse.”

Reports from earlier this month also alleged that Dr. Dre’s estranged wife requested nearly $2 million dollars a month in temporary spousal support. She claimed that her monthly expenses came out to $2,530,000, so her request was considered more modest than what she had been spending.

Dr. Dre’s climb to riches and fame stems from his early years as a producer and rapper with hip hop gangsta group, N.W.A., and continued throughout his solo career, eventually leveraging his music savvy to partner with Jimmy Iovine in founding Beats by Dre.  Beats Electronics, LLC is a subsidiary of Apple, Inc.

He was named the top-earning musician of the decade for the 2010s.
