Tekashi 6ix9ine Reportedly Hospitalized Due to Diet Pill & Caffeine Overdose
According to reports, American rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine has been hospitalized after an overdose of diet pills and caffeine. Tekashi 6ix9ine, born Daniel Hernandez, was reportedly admitted to a hospital in Florida on September 29th due to taking twice the recommended amount of the weight loss pill Hydroxycut and drinking a McDonald’s coffee. The two substances caused his heart rate to accelerate at an alarming rate.

Tekashi 6ix9ine spoke on the incident during a recent interview and shared that he was taking diet pills to help him lose some of the weight he gained while in prison. He also shared that he is no longer taking Hydroxycut following this incident. In addition to that, Tekashi 6ix9ine stressed that no other drugs or substances were involved in this incident and that he hasn’t taken anything that would violate his probation.
The ‘Gooba’ rapper also recently made headlines after revealing that he was suicidal while in prison. During an interview with Fox 5 New York he said,
“The pressure is so strong. Mentally, I think people would have attempted suicide. At a point in jail, I thought about it. It’s so much stress, so much pressure, because you’re seeing yourself on the news every day — this, that and a third, when is this going to come to an end?”
He added,
“God has built me so strong. You know that saying, ‘What doesn’t kill you only makes you stronger’? So basically I feel like I’m not invincible but I feel like I’m at the peak of my mental state, where I’m just like, ‘I’ll be fine.’”
