Megan Thee Stallion’s Stylist EJ King Explains Why He No Longer Works With Her: Things In Life Have Expiration Dates
Megan The Stallion and her friend/stylist EJ King are going their separate ways.
EJ and Megan have worked together for quite some time, including for Megan Thee Stallion’s feature in Cardi B’s “WAP” video.
EJ King admitted that lots of people wanted to know what’s going on with their friendship. In a live video, EJ King, who has previously been a stylist to many stars including Teyana Taylor and Chris Brown, addressed the inquiries.
“Everybody wants to know what’s going on with me and Megan. Do you know why yo n*gga didn’t come home last night? You know why y’all n*gga is cheating? Do y’all know why y’all n*gga in them DMs talkin’ to other bihs? Do you understand why yo check didn’t come this month? Do you understand why you didn’t pay your cable bill or your phone bill? There’s a lot of questions we gotta ask ourselves before we wanna know about everybody else business. Why you and Megan don’t work? Why you and your baby daddy goin through? Why he didn’t give you no child support? Why he not claiming that baby?”
EJ continues asking rhetorical questions before moving forward toward his point.
“Why you have that baby knowing he didn’t want no kids? You understand me? Why your car on empty? Why you didn’t pay your car note? Why you didn’t pay that rent thinking because it was COVID you had 12 months to pay your rent off, you didn’t wanna pay your rent so now you about to be evicted. These are the, these are the questions we should be asking ourselves. Why my relationship…is with somebody and why, and why not, is…I think we got our, we got our things f*cked up. You know what I’m sayin’, like…”
He concluded,
“Things in life have true expiration dates…. The food in your refrigerator say ‘eat by, sell by, get rid of by’. When things expire, they expire. You throw ’em away. No hard feelings. Get rid of it. You get something new. Bring it back in. It is what it is…”
In another clip, he said he’s not sure he wants to keep styling at all anymore.
“I dressed up everybody else’s dream for so long that I need to do my own. It’s no hard feelings. I wish everybody the best. But before Megan came in my life I was EJ King and I was still doing me. After Megan leaves my life, or after I stop working with Megan, I will still be EJ King. I’ll still be me.”
He continued:
“If y’all followed me because I work with Megan, I think this is where the road ends. If y’all not gon’ be here anymore then I get it. No hard feelings… The ride with Megan was fun. I think we did a lot of great things in a short time. No love lost. Megan follows me, I follow Megan.”
