Pretty Ricky’s Baby Blue Charged For Alleged Involvement In $24 Million COVID-19 Relief Scheme, Allegedly Bought Ferrari W/ Funds
According to reports, Baby Blue (real name Diamond Blue Smith) of R&B group Pretty Ricky has been charged for allegedly participating in a COVID-19 relief scam worth $24 Million.
The Florida rapper and Love & Hip Hop Miami star has also been accused of using funds from the relief fund to buy a new Ferrari.
Baby Blue, 36, was arrested Monday, Oct. 5, alongside 28-year-old Tonye C. Johnson for being a part of the scheme.
Both are facing charges of wire fraud, bank fraud, and conspiracy to commit wire fraud and bank fraud.
Baby Blue allegedly got money to buy a Ferrari with fake documents in order to get a Paycheck Protection Program loan totaling $427,000 dollars. He allegedly repeated the same process again with another loan worth $1 million.
According to an FBI investigation, Baby Blue also convinced at least 11 others to file for funds, while he received a kickback.

Paycheck Protection Program loans were a part of the $2 trillion CARES Act. The funds were forgivable loans meant to help small businesses that suffered from the impacts of COVID-19.
More than $1 billion dollars in relief aid was fraudulently given out.
