Tory Lanez Reacts To Being Charged For Allegedly Shooting Megan Thee Stallion: The Truth Will Come To Light

Tory Lanez has a message just a day after news spread that he was officially charged for allegedly shooting Megan Thee Stallion. 

On Thursday (Oct. 8), the rapper was charged with one felony count each of assault with a semiautomatic firearm – personal use of a firearm – carrying a loaded, unregistered firearm in a vehicle. The defendant also faces a gun allegation and charges that he personally inflicted great bodily injury.

His arraignment is scheduled for Oct. 13.

Friday afternoon (Oct. 9), Tory Lanez shared a tweet in relation to the charges and wrote:

“[Time will tell]… and the truth will come to the light … I have all faith in God to show that … love to all my fans and people that have stayed true to me & know my heart … “

He continued:

“A charge is not a conviction . If you have supported me or meg thru this , I genuinely appreciate u .”

According to previous reports, Megan Thee Stallion and Tory Lanez were involved in a dispute in July that ended with the Houston native getting shot in the foot. Speculation swirled for weeks that Tory Lanez shot her, and she confirmed it in August.

Still, Tory Lanez has maintained his innocence ever since he broke his silence on the incident in his new album DAYSTAR, which was released on Sept. 25th. He raps in Money Over Fallouts:

“Girl, you had the nerve to write that statement on an affidavit? Knowing I ain’t do it but I’m coming at my truest? Trying to keep this sh*t 200 with you, shorty, I can prove it.”

He also rapped:

“Gotta see a couple questions: how the f**k you get shot in your foot, don’t hit no bones or tendons?? How the f**k your team is trying to pay me in some whole millions?? I just lost like 10 million dollars because this cold business?But I got like 10 million followers that’s gon’ roll with me”

He alleged Megan Thee Stallion’s team was trying to frame him.
