Issa Rae Says “Eff Kanye” During SNL Skit, Kanye Responds Accusing SNL Of Using Black People & Says He’s Praying For Issa

Kanye West On Issa Rae’s SNL Performance: “ SNL Uses Black People To Hold Other Black People Back”
American actress, writer, and producer Issa Rae made a guest appearance on historic comedy show Saturday Night Live on October 17, and let’s just say one person wasn’t feeling her appearance!
In the skit, Kenan Thompson plays a Chicago news anchor talking to guests (Issa Rae, Ego Nwodim) about who they will vote for in an upcoming local election.

The skit is centered around a local political election for state representatives, except all the black candidates have no political experience.
Throughout the skit, Rae’s character’s support of black candidates gets more difficult as they grow more and more unqualified, but remains steadfast through the program. Towards the end as the anchor finishes and talks about the upcoming Presidential race between Trump, Joe Biden and Kanye West,
Issa Rae’s character responds resolutely.
“Kanye, F Him”

Kanye responded to the show with a Tweet the day afterward, October 18th, saying:
“Ive always said SNL uses black people to hold other black people back
My heart goes out to Issa Rae
I’m praying for her and her family
I know that the twenty years of service that I’ve paid in the entertainment field has furthered our ability to be more successful.”

Attached in the tweet, he also included a Google search of Issa Rae.
