LeBron James Begs His Hometown Akron To Help Solve The Murder Of His Friend’s Sister
NBA all-star LeBron James is turning to the public for help in finding out who murdered his close friend’s sister.
Ericka Weems was tragically killed in her own home Monday afternoon (Nov. 2nd).
The Summit County Medical Examiner determined that she was fatally shot in the head. The case is being investigated as a homicide.
So far, there are no suspects. LeBron James has stepped in and taken to Twitter to ask his hometown to help solve the tragedy.
He wrote Wednesday (Nov. 4th):
“AKRON OHIO!! My brother’s sister was murdered this past weekend in her home! My brother family need answers to why and by whom. My city I need y’all to go to work and find out who did this awful, shameful, disgusting thing to such a caring, loving angel! #Justice4EricaWeems“

Ericka Weems’ father, Darrell Weems, told News 5 in Cleveland that the last time he saw her was on Saturday night.
“She left me about 9 o’clock. I told her to call me when she got home, and she never called. I called her all day Sunday. No answer.”
The family said they knew something wasn’t right after a friend who Ericka was supposed to babysit for couldn’t get a hold of her.
Unfortunately, Ericka was found in her bedroom deceased.
The family is asking anyone with information to reach out to Akron police at 330-375-3490 or 330-3752TIP.
A $5,000 reward is being offered by the Summit County Crimestoppers for information that helps police find the shooter. Those with information can also leave an anonymous tip at 330-434-COPS or texting TIPSCO to 274637.
Continued prayers for the family and loved ones of Ericka Weems.
