Although President Donald Trump did not win re-election into the White House, it turns out he did win the state of Alaska.
It was projected by both CNN and NBC News on Wednesday morning (Nov. 11) that Donald Trump would be taking Alaska’s three Electoral College votes.
This isn’t the first time that Donald Trump has won Alaska. He also won the state in 2016 against Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton.
While Alaska’s vote total will be counted in the final numbers, Donald Trump still doesn’t have the full 270 electoral votes that would be needed in order for him to have a second term.
On Wednesday (Nov. 11) Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger announced that the state will do a manual hand recount of all ballots cast in the election. The recount is after pressure from Georgia Republicans who have accused the state of voting irregularities and mismanaging ballots in the election.
Most counties in the state have already sent in final numbers, as Brad Raffensperger’s office vows to investigate any and all voting irregularities.
In a statement he said,
“Every legal vote will count.”
The current margin of votes between President-elect Joe Biden and President Trump is 14,111. Because of the closeness of the race, Brad Raffensperger feels a recount is the best for clarity.

Donald Trump still has not conceded in the election.
Donald Trump insisted that he won just before Joe Biden was declared the winner. Donald Trump took to Twitter on Saturday (Nov.7) and wrote,
“I WON THIS ELECTION, BY A LOT!”

His tweet then prompted Twitter to put a label on his message, saying, “Official sources may not have called the race when this was Tweeted”. In a string of tweets, Donald Trump continued to question the integrity of the voting process. In one tweet he writes in all caps,
“THE OBSERVERS WERE NOT ALLOWED INTO THE COUNTING ROOMS. I WON THE ELECTION, GOT 71,000,000 LEGAL VOTES. BAD THINGS HAPPENED WHICH OUR OBSERVERS WERE NOT ALLOWED TO SEE. NEVER HAPPENED BEFORE. MILLIONS OF MAIL-IN BALLOTS WERE SENT TO PEOPLE WHO NEVER ASKED FOR THEM!”

In another message, he adds that he received the most votes than any other sitting President. He wrote,
“71,000,000 Legal Votes. The most EVER for a sitting President!”

Although Trump is correct about his record -breaking support of 71 million votes, it still was not higher than Joe Biden who received 74.5 million votes. Donald Trump and his campaign team have refused to concede the election.
