Bay Area Rapper Lil Yase Has Reportedly Died [Condolences]
Sadly, another rapper has fallen victim to gun violence. Bay Area rapper Lil Yase, real name Mark Antonyyo Alexander, was reportedly shot and killed early Saturday (Nov.28) morning. He was only 25 -years- old. According to sources, his body was discovered somewhere in the southern section of the East Bay which is miles away from where he was last seen. Reportedly, the rapper was hanging out with his friends late Friday (Nov.27) night at a recording studio and left on his own at one point, telling his friends he’d be right back. Less than two hours after leaving the studio, word came in that the rapper had been shot dead. Sources also claim Lil Yase had no known enemies, and weren’t aware of any problems that could’ve lead up to his death.

His last Instagram post was just a day before his untimely death. He captioned the post,
“If my n**** trippin den I’m trippin it’s up wit UNK #HappyThankGivin “

That same Instagram post is now flooded with messages from grieving fans and supporters.



Lil Yase made a name for himself with his 2015 single “Get It In”, which he went on to create the remix that received national attention the following year. The remix featured other California rappers such as G-Val, Lil Blood, Nef The Pharaoh, Mozzy, and Yatta.
Over the years, Lil Yase released several songs that garnered hundreds of thousands of views on YouTube such as, “Mad,” “No Diss,” “Demon,” “What You Mean,” “Yeah Yeah,” and “Furl.”
