Travis Scott might just be the lucky ingredient for brands that are looking to increase their sales. According to Forbes, Travis Scott, born Jacques Berman Webster II, is the brand whisperer for corporate America. The 28-year-old rapper has had successful brand deals with many companies including Nike, PlayStation, Epic Games, General Mills, and McDonald’s. According to a source in Travis Scott’s circle, he’s on track for earning over $100 million this year due to his creative corporate partnerships.
According to Forbes, Travis Scott’s shoes are a must-have for many sneakerheads. StockX, a site for luxury clothing resell, listed a pair of Travis Scott x Air Jordan 4 Retros for $10,000 and a purple pair is going for over $22,500. Forbes reports that Travis Scott brings in about $10 million annually for his Nike deal. The ‘SICKO MODE’ rapper is also cleaning up in the gaming industry as well. Travis Scott reportedly earned around $20 million for his deal with Epic Games where he performed a virtual nine-minute concert for the digital world of Fortnite.
One of Travis Scott’s most iconic deals was his partnership with the fast-food chain McDonald’s. Many fans rushed to McDonald’s to try The Travis Scott Meal which included a medium Sprite, a Quarter Pounder, and fries with barbecue sauce.
For this deal, Travis Scott negotiated the full rights to and developed a variation of merchandise, in addition, to also designing apparel for the McDonald’s crew. According to Forbes, Travis Scott earned around $20 million for The Travis Scott Meal. About $5 million was from the traditional endorsement part of the deal and another $15 million came from merchandise sales.
