Chicago R&B singer Ann Marie has been arrested in connection to a man being shot in the head.
Ann Marie real name Joann Marie Slater, was taken into custody on December 1, after cops responded to a call that shots were fired at the Intercontinental Buckhead Hotel in Atlanta.
Police say that when they arrived at the scene, Ann Marie was in shock as the victim, her male friend laid on the floor suffering from a bullet wound in the middle of his forehead, with an exit wound out of the left side of his temple.
The victim is 24-year-old Jonathan Wright, and it is reported that he lost lots of blood but was “somewhat conscious” and able to answer a few questions. Cops say that Ann Marie was ‘screaming hysterically’ and had to be removed from the room.
Ann Marie reportedly said that the gun fell off the table before going off and hitting the victim.
Two shell casings were found inside the hotel room along with two projectiles. There was also allegedly a bullet hole in the door jam and another in a cabinet.
Jonathan Wright was rushed to a local hospital. He is currently in critical condition.
Ann Marie was taken into custody and booked into Fulton County for possession of a firearm and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
