Rihanna And A$AP Rocky Are In ‘A New Relationship,’ Source Says: They’ve Been Inseparable The Past Few Weeks

It looks like Rihanna, (born Robyn Rihanna Fenty) and rapper A$AP Rocky (born Rakim Mayers) are officially a couple, according to sources close to the pair.

Rihanna and A$AP Rocky have been friends for years and rumors that they were dating have continued throughout their friendship.

The pair was spotted on Dec. 2, taking a walk in disguise around New York City. As the photo made its way around the internet even rapper Lil Uzi Vert didn’t want to believe it was true.  He posted the alleged spotting with the caption,

“Can’t be true”

Days after their stroll, they allegedly went on a dinner date with friends at N.Y.C.’s Beatrice Inn.  A source now says that they are officially an item, but it’s still a new relationship.

“They’ve been inseparable the past few weeks.  It’s a new relationship, but they both seem very into it.”

The news comes almost a year after Rihanna split from her boyfriend of almost three years, Hassan Jameel in January.  The source said of that relationship:

“Their lives were too different, and it was hard to maintain a relationship.” 

A$Ap Rocky’s lifestyle apparently aligns more with Rihanna’s. The insider added:

“They’ve always seemed to have a great time together.  They have a lot in common.” says the source.

Rihanna and A$Ap Rocky collaborated on their track “Cockiness (Love It)” in 2012, then the two artists went on tour together in 2013.  Later that year Rihanna portrayed  A$AP Rocky’s love interest in his “Fashion Killa” music video.
