Kenya Moore Reveals She Hasn’t Filed For Divorce + Adds That Husband Marc Daly Filed But Withdrew It ‘Less Than 24 Hours Later’

The new season of The Real Housewives of Atlanta just began and a hot topic this season is where Kenya Moore and her husband Marc Daly stand.

In September of last year, it was reported that the couple split after 2 years of marriage. Kenya Moore announced the news in a statement saying,

“It is with profound sadness that I regret to inform my fans that I am divorcing my husband Marc Daly. Due to recent and ongoing circumstances, I can no longer continue in the marriage. My sole concern and focus is and will always be my daughter, Brooklyn, my miracle baby. She was made in love and true commitment. I ask for our privacy to be respected moving forward.”

In last night’s episode of “RHOA” (Dec. 13th), Kenya Moore said she was in the final stages of deciding if she was going to file for divorce or custody of their two-year-old daughter Brooklyn.

She gave an update on Watch What Happens Live after the episode and said:

“I have not filed for divorce.”

She added that Marc Daly did previously file for divorce, but he withdrew it shortly after.

“He did file and withdrew it in less than 24 hours later, so we’ve kind of gotten past that and right now.”

She continued:

“Marc is really fighting for his marriage, he wants to go to counseling, he’s made appointments, he’s asking to publicly advise to me and a lot of things that i never thought I’d see the day.”

Their separation drama was a storyline in season 12 as she told Kandi Burruss and Cynthia Bailey about discovering inappropriate text messages of Marc Daly’s:

“I don’t want a divorce, [but] my instincts say he’s doing something else – because I look around and I see these text messages- whatever. One of the women was begging him to keep the sex going even though he’s married…That woman- he still communicates with after I told him, ‘This is inappropriate.’ She was like, ‘You know you make me feel this way, and that way. Is there any way we can keep this going?’”

She, later, detailed calling the woman herself:

“I called a b*tch, too!…which I regret that I did. She answered the phone, [and] I said, ‘You might wanna take me off the speakerphone. This is Mrs. Marc Daly.’ And she picked up the motherf*cking phone. And I proceeded to let her know, if she came anywhere else near my husband, I know where she lives.”

Kenya took to Twitter, eluding that the incident was a recent one.

In her confessional interview, Kenya Moore gave viewers this cautionary tale:

“I think I missed a lot of red flags. I think when you’re excited and you’re in love, and you feel hopeful, you ignore the red flags…The last few weeks have taught me you can’t believe who someone says they are. You have to believe who someone shows you who they are.”
