Saweetie Says ‘People Will Try & Credit A Man For A Woman’s Success’ When Talking About Relationship With Quavo

Saweetie may be dating well-known rapper Quavo, but she wants the public to know her success is not because of him. Saweetie, born Diamonté Harper, virtually joined the ladies of the talk show The Real to give an update on her life. During the interview, Saweetie was asked how she’s managed to maintain her own identity while dating a high-profile celebrity like Quavo of the rap group Migos.

She said,

“I do admit in the beginning, it was difficult because as a woman, especially a woman in hip-hop, they always try to credit a man for a woman’s success which is why I kind of tipped around the relationship.”

She continued,

“Now that I’m just continuing to, you know, persevere with success and just consistency, the relationship is just – it is what it is now. We love each other, we support each other, we give each other advice so it’s nice.”

Saweetie made headlines not too long ago after her boyfriend cashed out on her for the holidays. Last month the ‘Tap In’ rapper received a custom Bentley for Christmas from Quavo.
