Nicki Minaj – Driver In Her Father’s Fatal Hit & Run Crash Turns Himself In To Police
The man behind the wheel of a hit-and-run collision that killed Nicki Minaj’s father, Robert Maraj, has surrendered to authorities.
Charles Polevich, 70, has been arrested and charged with leaving the scene of an incident involving the death of a person and tampering with or suppressing physical evidence. Both are felonies.
He was driving his 1992 white Volvo at Roslyn Rd. and Raff Ave. in Mineola when he allegedly hit Maraj, who was on foot, with the vehicle. According to reports, he “then exited his vehicle stood over the victim asked him if ‘he was ok,’ walked and returned to his vehicle and fled the scene.”
He’s being held on bail for $250,000. He also had to surrender his passport and isn’t allowed to leave New York.
Nicki Minaj has not publicly grieved the tragic loss.
Continued prayers for the Maraj family during this difficult time.
