Kanye West Blasts Gap For Excluding Him From Meetings & Copying Designs + Reveals His Plans To Open YEEZY Retail Stores In ‘Every State’
Kanye West is not pleased with Gap!
The rapper & businessman took to Instagram on Wednesday, August 31, to call the apparel company out for allegedly excluding him from meetings. In an Instagram post, Kanye West, 45, said,
“Gap held a meeting about me without me?”

In another post, he accused Gap of copying his designs. Kanye West said,
“But they canceled the photo shoot with my kids in Japan without me knowing”

The news that West and Gap appear to be at odds comes as the fashion mogul was recently criticized for selling his latest Yeezy Gap collection out of what appeared to be trash bags. He apparently didn’t even want his items on hangers.
A witness said,
“The sales associate said Ye got mad when he saw they had [his clothes] on hangers” because ‘this is how he wanted it.’”
They added,
“They won’t help you find your size, you just have to just dig through everything.”
Online critics pointed out that the father of four has a “fetish” for exploiting the homeless as “fashion muses.” In fact, West has said that “the homeless” served as his “biggest inspiration for all design.”

There were also complaints about the collection as a whole, which features large dark gray sweatpants, sweatshirts, and accessories that range from $40 to $340.
And while he is well aware of the criticism, West said he is not willing to “apologize” for his inventive artistic expression in his approach to fashion. When questioned about how the public perceived the Yeezy Gap launch, which they called insensitive to the less fortunate, West replied,
“I’m an innovator, and I’m not here to sit up and apologize about my ideas. That’s exactly what the media tries to do–make us apologize for any idea that doesn’t fall under, exactly, they way they want us to think.”
He also clarified that while he drew inspiration from the homeless, his intentions were not to make a mockery. He also denied the usage of disposal totes and said his brand’s message has been “misrepresented” and “misunderstood.” West added,
“This is, like, not a joke; this is not a game. This is not just some celebrity collaboration. This is my life. You know? I’m fighting for a position to be able to change clothing and bring the best design to the people.”
West and Gap launched their collaboration a little over two years ago. In addition to recently calling Gap out, Kanye also revealed via his IG his own plans to open Yeezy retail stores. In one post he said,
“2 Chainz said he got the mayor(‘s) number I added the s cause my mama was head of the English department But this may take some incorrect English to get done”

In other posts, he continued,
