Ari Lennox Says She Wishes She Didn’t ‘Have Emotions’ While Opening Up About Her Love Life

Ari Lennox is getting vulnerable about her love life. 

On Wednesday (Mar. 8) singer Ari Lennox took to Twitter to share with her fans that she wishes she didn’t have a desire for romance. She also wondered if “wanting love so bad” has made her “unattractive.”

Ari Lennox wrote:

“Have I made myself unattractive by wanting love so bad? By speaking about it? Complaining about it? I wish I didn’t crave it. I wish it didn’t make me blind, weak and so dangerously trusting. I wish I had no love inside of me. Wish I didn’t have emotions. Wish I didn’t care.” 

This isn’t Ari’s first time being candid about being afraid to fall in love. As previously reported, in an episode of Angela Yee’s “Lip Service” podcast, the 31-year-old mentioned she had no intention of loving again. She said:

“I think I’m in love the first day, and I see somebody so fine, and they are making me laugh. Like, so I know it’s not love. It’s never been, love. It’s just a lot of romanticizing and delusion.”

Ari, born Courtney Salter, added: 

“I am scared to be in love. I’m scared to be hurt or cheated on.”

The singer has been back on the market for almost a year now. She reportedly split from reality TV star Keith Manley last June. A source close to the musician explained:

“Her and the Married At First Sight star Keith Manley have officially split or parted ways. Ari is in good spirits and is focusing on her sophomore album. She’s also excited for her 4 BET Awards Nominations.”

The ex-couple supposedly split a few days after Keith Manley joined Ari as a date to her cousin’s wedding in San Deigo, California.
