Quavo To Star Opposite Robert De Niro In His Big Screen Debut
Quavo is set to make his feature-film debut!
The Migos rapper (real name Quavious Keyate Marshall) has landed a role in the upcoming movie Wash M A River, also starring John Malkovich, Jack Huston, and Robert De Niro.
Randall Emmett (the executive producer of Power) will direct the movie, which has already started filming in Puerto Rico.
Quavo will portray Coyote, described as “a ruthless and heartless drug lord.”
The movie follows a recovering opioid addict who is out for revenge after Coyotesold drugs that killed his girlfriend.
Quavo said in a statement:
“I honestly think this movie is going to be one of the greatest to come of this time. The experience was unbelievable for me, with Robert DeNiro and Jack Huston being so down to earth and making me feel like family. Gonna see me doing some stunts and a lot of what you hear from me in my raps! This is one of my biggest debuts I’ve ever had, and so proud of what we did and to get to work with Randall who’s such an amazing guy — I can’t wait to do more films with him”
He posted a video from the set with the caption:

Emmett said of Quavo, who has previously appeared in shows like FX’s Atlanta and Narcos on Netflix:
‘Quavo is a superstar and a real actor. Getting to see him bring the Coyote character to life is very exciting, and I think he is going to have a film career equally as big as his music.”
