Andre Leon Talley Responds To Ongoing Eviction, Says GoFundMe To Help Him Is ‘Unnecessary’
Andre Leon Talley is speaking out after news he was facing an eviction made headlines earlier this month.
As previously reported, two of the fashion icon’s former friends are trying to evict him, claiming he owes more than $500,000 in back rent.
Andre Leon Talley responded to the claims and thanked fans for their support on Instagram.
“I cannot thank you all enough for your outpouring of love and concern. I am healthy in mind and spirit and am quite grateful for the many messages from dear friends and extended community. As you probably know from The Chiffon Trenches, I’ve experienced many peaks and valleys in my life and remain quite resilient.”

He then wrote that his lawyers are taking care of the situation.
“The matter we are dealing with is unfortunate, but will be handled by my very capable legal team at this time.”
He also said a GoFundMe, called “Help Andre Leon Talley Not Get Evicted”, is not needed.
“To Akeem Smith and the people who put up the Go Fund Me and those who have contributed, I appreciate the thoughtful gesture and generosity, but it is completely unnecessary.”
The page has raised more than $8,000 so far.
