Cardi B Slams ‘True Hollywood Story’ About Her Life: I Did NOT Approve This
Cardi B is one of the latest celebrities to be featured on E!’s True Hollywood Story series, but she made it clear she didn’t give the network the green light to tell her story.
E! gave a first look at the upcoming season, which will premiere Monday, March 15th, and revealed that specials on Cardi B, Jay-Z, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, Laverne Cox, and more will air.
While she’s in good company with other celeb faves, Cardi B wanted her fans to know she didn’t authorize her inclusion.
She tweeted,
“I love E! And I always been grateful for all the love but I did not approve of the E Hollywood story .My life is my story. How can someone tell my story without asking me?”

Still, she seemed optimistic and added,
“But hey maybe the story will be good IDK I mean I haven’t seen it .However I would love to tell my story myself when I’m ready.I been thru & been influenced by a lot of bad s*** since a teenager That when I’m ready I will like to talk about .”

A key part of Cardi B’s story is that she’s the first female rapper to ever have a Diamond-certified song thanks to her breakout single Bodak Yellow.
As of Tuesday (March 9th), it sold more than 10 million copies.
